This is absolutely despicable… who could even think to do something like this?!
A man has been charged by police in Fresno, California after allegedly shooting a 10-month old girl in the head at a house party after he made unwanted advances at the girl’s mother, and she tried to leave the scene with her child.

The whole thing started this past Sunday morning at about 4:00 a.m. in the Hammond neighborhood of Fresno, where 18-year-old Deziree Menagh was leaving a house party with a male companion. In tow was her daughter, ten-month-old Fayth Percy, as well.
Menagh had been leaving the party because, according to law enforcement officers who spoke to the media, a man named Marcus Echartea had been there all night, allegedly trying to get Deziree to hold his hand and sit on his lap. She didn’t want that attention from Echartea, so after a while, she grew tired of it and decided to leave.
But, trouble came just as Menagh and her male friend left the party. According to police, as the two got into a car a couple blocks from the house, they noticed Echartea approaching them on foot. Before they could do anything, he allegedly pulled out a handgun and “fired multiple rounds into the driver’s window” of the car, hitting the poor, defenseless 10-month-old baby on the side of her head while she was sitting in her mother’s arms.
Menagh’s friend immediately dialed 911, and the baby was taken to the hospital where she is listed in “critical but stable condition” now as she keeps fighting for her life. According to reports, the small infant has already undergone at least one surgery to remove bullet fragments from her head.
As for Echartea, he was later arrested back inside the home where the house party had been held. Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer reported the man showed little emotion, and no remorse, despite nearly killing a small, defenseless child over something so unnecessary (below):
“It should shock the conscience of every person in Fresno to know that we have a 10-month-old baby lying in the hospital fighting for her life … And [Echartea] had no remorse. When our detectives brought him downtown… he had just shot a 10-month-old baby and didn’t seem to care or it didn’t phase him.”
Wow…
Here’s hoping the poor 10-month-old girl can fully recover from this…
And here’s REALLY hoping either way, justice will be served on Echartea!!
