Quite a few stars are skipping out on this year’s Oscars, but Mark Ruffalo isn’t one of them.
This week, the actor told BBC News that the lack of diversity in this year’s nominees had him “weighing” whether or not he’d join Will Smith and Spike Lee in not attending the prestigious ceremony.
After mulling it over, the 48-year-old — who is nominated himself for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Spotlight — revealed he plans to go to the award show, but he still supports the boycott movement!

On Thursday, Ruffalo posted a series of tweets about his decision, highlighting he would attend the show in support of a different cause:

We totally understand the actor’s decision!
Spotlight was an important film that shines a light on a very different problem, and it’s of the utmost important to him that victims of sexual abuse be represented, even while another controversy is going on.
