Our hearts are just breaking.
On Wednesday, it was revealed that TV icon Mary Tyler Moore has died after falling gravely ill and being placed on a respirator. Earlier reports had warned fans about the funny lady’s decline in health, as it was revealed loved ones came to The Mary Tyler Moore Show star’s hospital in Connecticut to say their goodbyes. So sad!

Tragically, Miz Tyler Moore did not recover from her health scare as TMZ confirmed on Wednesday that the A-lister died surrounded by her family. Moore’s longtime rep, Mara Buxbaum, specifically confirmed that both the superstar’s friends and loving husband were by her side at the time of her passing.
Buxbaum shared in a statement:
“Today, beloved icon, Mary Tyler Moore, passed away at the age of 80 in the company of friends and her loving husband of over 33 years, Dr. S. Robert Levine. A groundbreaking actress, producer, and passionate advocate for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Mary will be remembered as a fearless visionary who turned the world on with her smile.”
Hear! Hear!
Of course, this wasn’t the first time the late actress struggled with her health as she had a longtime battle with diabetes and also had brain surgery back in 2011. Talk about a tough break.
The industry vet is probably best known for her work on The Dick Van Dyke Show and her own long running sitcom. Obviously, Hollywood is feeling this loss immensely.
R.I.P. Mary!
