Life is short and so are a lot of rappers’ careers, which is why were surprised that 90’s Diddy protege Mase has announced that he would be making a comeback. We just assumed he faded into the kind of obscurity reserved for D-list musicians.
But, apparently, we were wrong and Mase will rise again. In a recent radio interview, he revealed that due to the recent passing of Michael Jackson, Mase felt inspired to return to music:
“Mike passed away and it just lit the fire in me – it made me go in the studio and do something,” he said.
Mase’s first musical venture to hit the airwaves is a remix of Drake’s hit Best I Ever Had, who he didn’t even know existed until he asked his nephew: “I asked my nephew, ‘Who is the hottest thing out there?’ and he said, ‘Drake!’ When I listened to his music I said, ‘I’m going to jump on this joint.’ I’ve got things up my sleeves, I just need someone to play them.”
When you make your OWN music again, then we’ll see what kind of stuff your made of. Until then, don’t bother us with this remix crap.
What do U think of the Mase comeback?
