Mean Girls Reboot REMOVES Lindsay Lohan Joke For Home Release!

Ask and thou shall receive!

Last month, the musical reboot of the beloved 2004 smash hit Mean Girls premiered… And was met with some heated criticism from Lindsay Lohan and her dad Michael! If you didn’t see it in theaters, there was a passing line in which Megan Thee Stallion, who briefly cameoed in the flick, praises Cady Heron, played by Angourie Rice, and her talent show performance. She said:

“Y2K fire crotch is back.”

While the line may have drummed up some laughs by casual audience members, for Lindsay, it brought back shades of one of her most upsetting celeb moments! Y2kers will remember how in 2006, oil heir Brandon Davis said some pretty nasty things about her in an infamous paparazzi video — which also featured LiLo’s frenemy Paris Hilton standing by and laughing. He called her a “fire crotch” in addition to some truly scathing disses, and it led to a falling out between the girls. It was a HUGE ordeal!

After attending the premiere last month, Lindsay was shocked that Tina Fey, whom she worked with on the original movie, would include such a hurtful reference. A rep said at the time:

“The real mean girl here is Tina Fey. She wrote it. She also knows that Lindsay is hurt by it. The studio is also aware of how Lindsay feels about it. The right thing for them to do would be for them to edit this out of the film. It is completely unnecessary and very disrespectful.”

Her dad doubled down at the time, and it looks like they had their wishes granted!

The reboot is now available on digital platforms, and per The Hollywood Reporter, the comment is missing! Instead, Megan says:

“Hot girls, we are going back red.”
