Former Marine Wants To Adopt Her Retired Military Dog

Megan Levy is a former marine with two tours of Iraq under her belt.
She became a handler for bomb sniffing dogs.
But when she retired, her dog, Rex, didn’t.
After serving some more, Rex eventually came down with a condition that would lead to him having to be put to sleep if he couldn’t be adopted.
So Megan has been fighting through the bureaucracy and red tape to try and get her dog to her.
Due to the power of this story (and the fact she received a purple heart) a senator, the owner of the Yankees and many others have stepped in to try and get her dog to her.
