Well, it’s not over yet!
As Perezcious readers know, Netflix has been distancing itself from Meghan Markle and Prince Harry lately, years after signing a $100 million deal with the Sussexes. After producing very little content with poor ratings, With Love, Meghan is not returning for a third season, and the streamer is no longer backing her lifestyle brand, As Ever. We all thought Netflix was going to dump Meghan and Harry soon (or the couple would take legal action) – despite the higher-ups insisting all is well between everyone.

Now it appears the streaming company IS continuing business with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex! Deadline reported on Monday that Meghan and Harry are co-producing a new drama series with Netflix… all about polo! Yes, really! Even though Prince Harry’s docuseries about the sport completely flopped in 2024, they are giving a drama about it a shot! According to the outlet, the untitled series is set in the “high-flying equestrian town” of Wellington, Florida, and the plot “revolves around the messy dynamics between two rival teams and the families that lead them.” Hmm. It sounds interesting enough.
Deadline added that the show will be produced by Meghan and Harry’s Archewell Productions and Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage’s Fake Empire. Don’t start placing bets on whether the series comes out within the next year or two, though! Considering we’re still waiting for several of their movies, which they announced almost three years ago, to start filming, we aren’t too hopeful about this new show being ready to binge anytime soon! But we’ll see!
