Despite living across the pond from each other, fans think Meghan Markle and Princess Catherine‘s feud is still alive and well — all because of some possibly shady social media activity!
Last week, Kate Middleton took to her Instagram to share portraits she and her children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, drew. She posted it as part of her “Shaping Us” platform to highlight the importance of early childhood development, noting:
“Drawing portraits with children can provide a moment of connection as you spend time looking at and focusing on one another, as well as being creative and — most importantly — having lots of fun together!”

Just days later, though, Meghan took to her IG page to share a photo of her fridge filled with inspirational quotes, family photos… and a green star seemingly painted and drawn by Prince Archie (though Princess Lilibet could’ve helped). Ch-ch-check it out!
Very cute… but also a super similar post to Kate’s! Now, fans are convinced she was simply copying the Princess of Wales! Critics wrote on X (Twitter):
“Don’t forget, the real reason she posted that was to show ‘Archie’s artwork’ since Catherine put out her kids’ artwork the other day. She’s so predictable..as ever, a copycat!”
“She had to get a kids drawing in there. Copying Princess Catherine again.”
“Fake, staged for Instagram, fake.”
OOF!
Speaking to The Sun‘s Royal Exclusive show on Saturday, Newsweek’s royal editor Jack Royston insisted the spouses are still very much entangled in a feud — one we all know has been going on for years and years. He reflected:
“There was 100 per cent definitely a massive rivalry between the Sussexes and the Waleses dating back to when they were sharing a private office at Kensington Palace. And this sort of thing, you would absolutely cut and dry say, was a 100 per cent massive rivalry.”
The expert predicted that a feud this strong doesn’t just fizzle out because of distance, noting:
“They would want to be competing and outdoing each other, so there probably is a bit of that. I mean, it’s hard to move past that. I’m sure that there is an instinct to want to outdo the other couple, whether it’s the Waleses or the Sussexes.”
If fans are correct about this copycat post theory that shows how intense this rivalry is! Cause imagine fighting over your kids’ art?? It’s petty AF! LOLz!
