After they had been broken up for over a year, Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith‘s divorce was finalized — at long last — this summer.
Now, we’re learning more details about the high-profile split between this once-happy couple!
Divorce papers reveal just how the Spanish actor and the blonde beauty divided up their assets. It turns out that, while the former flames had tied the knot in 1996, they signed a postnuptial agreement eight years later.
So, when it came time to divvy up their finances, each artist was able to keep the money they made from their movies before 2004.

That means the 55-year-old doesn’t have to cough up any cash from Spy Kids, The Mask of Zorro, or Desperado.
However, they ARE sharing their earnings from everything they’ve worked on between 2004 and 2014, which means they’re splitting their dough from films like Shrek 2, Machete Kills, Puss In Boots, and Expendables 3.
But it’s not all even stevens! Antonio is also required to pay his ex wife $65,000 in spousal support!
And while the two shared what they made from selling their LA home, the Working Girl alum gets the house in Aspen.
