Despite a a bid to be sentenced privately and a plea for leniency from father Michael Douglas, Cameron Douglas‘ sentencing will be made public according to a judge’s ruling.
Cameron’s lawyers wanted to make today’s sentencing closed to the public, but the media strongly opposed that idea so the courtroom will remain open.
He has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute crystal meth and will likely receive a minimum 10-year sentence.
Michael Douglas’ letter will also be released after being sent to the judge.
We wonder what he had to say on his son’s behalf!
