Michelle Kwan might not be doing the ice skating thing anymore for the Olympics, but that doesn’t mean her life is boring! Her husband, Clay Pell, has decided to run for the Governor of Rhode Island!
He’s been considering it for months, and he finally sacked up and officially put his hat in!
Here’s what he said in his announcement:
“As an officer in the Coast Guard, I led men and women in uniform. As director of strategic planning for President Obama’s national security team, I worked to ensure that resources were redirected to areas of growth and opportunity. I believe I can help to restore hope and economic growth to our state.”
He’s certainly smart enough for the job — he went to Harvard and then got a law degree from Georgetown.
Michelle, of course, is happy to be by his side!
