Miley Cyrus has been really really sad over the sudden death of her favorite doggy Floyd, as we’ve previously mentioned.
Thankfully, she’s had the emotional support of her other dogs, mainly Mary Jane, and she’s been doing alright.
Her momma Tish thought she knew exactly what Miley needed… a new puppy! Enter Moonie.
Miley shared an adorable pic of her and Moonie (above) and wrote:
“Moonie, thank you for giving me so much love, comfort, & peace. It’s just to soon for me right now #missingmoonie”
Wait, what?? Moonie is going away already?
What happened?
Miley explained to some fans, saying:

Oh yeah, that makes sense since poor Floyd was apparently killed by a coyote!

That’s so right! We’re so so so proud of Miley and her strength.
She knew she wasn’t ready for another dog, especially a tiny one, so she did the responsible thing and got Moonie into the best home possible.
Way to go, Miley!
