Following news of a reconciliation between the pair earlier this month, fans began to speculate about their renewed 2012 engagement and how proposal part deux went down.

While it would make sense for Hemsworth to pop the question AGAIN since three years have passed since their 2013 split, think again! Sources reveal the duo opted to keep it casual this time around.
An insider said of the potentially awkward situation:

“Liam never formally proposed again!”

Apparently, after the lovebirds rekindled their union this past New Year’s Eve following eight months of hanging out, Cyrus resumed wearing her original engagement ring.
A confidante confirmed:

“Liam noticed. They are telling friends they’re engaged.”
