Mischa Barton Shares Her True Feelings About The O.C. -- And They're Probably Not What You'd Expect

Mischa Barton took some time away from her busy schedule and opened up about her life since starring on The O.C.. But what she had to say was actually a little surprising.
Mischa admitted that sometimes she wishes she never even landed the lead role on the 2003 teen soap.
Well, to be fair, plenty of people wish you never played Marissa Cooper either, Mischa.
The 28-year-old explained in an interview:

“It├óΓé¼Γäós tough. It├óΓé¼Γäós really tough when you are young in this business. People blow a lot of hot air at you. That├óΓé¼Γäós the main thing. Keep your head on your shoulders. Even when you think your head is on your shoulders, sometimes it isn├óΓé¼Γäót.
It├óΓé¼Γäós just one of those things when you are growing under a microscope, and changing, and, that evolution is human. That humanity aspect means flaws, which people don├óΓé¼Γäót want to see.”

We guess that’s a good point.
Growing up in the spotlight heavily altered her life, and now that she’s a little less famous than back in her prime, people are extra harsh on her. And, her fame at such a young age kind of caused her downward spiral.
Plus, Mischa also shared that while she sometimes wishes she hadn’t been a part of the the cultural phenomenon that was The O.C., she’s also aware that she isn’t as grateful for her time on the show as she could be either.
That’s a very mature take on your situation, Mischa. Good for you.
