How Dax Shepard Reacted To Wife Kristen Bell’s INSANE Chemistry With Onscreen Lover Adam Brody!

Like the millions of others who binge-watched Nobody Wants This over the past week, Dax Shepard could not get over the “hot” onscreen chemistry between Kristen Bell and Adam Brody! Yes, even her hubby was a huge fan!

Based on the true story of show creator Erin Foster and her husband Simon Tikhman‘s romance, the hit series is about an agnostic sex podcaster, portrayed by Kristen, who meets and ends up falling in love with a newly single rabbi, played by Adam. And this is a very adult take on the romance. So there are some steamy scenes between the co-stars. Part of what makes the show such a hit? The chemistry is palpable! It’s insane!

During an interview with eTalk last week, KBell gave her thoughts on why things worked so well with her and Adam, saying:

“Who knows why our chemistry on screen — like once you add that lens — why it comes across the way it does. But like even I can acknowledge watching it, like, ‘Whoa, that’s hot.”

Even Dax thought it was “hot!” In fact, he shipped Kristen and Adam’s characters together! Kristen revealed:

“My husband said the same thing. Like, watching the first episode he was like, ‘Oh my God, I want you to kiss him so badly. Like, there’s a palpability to it.’”

LOLz!

It sounds like the Armchair Expert host wasn’t jealous at all! He was into it! (For future reference, stuff like this is why those swinging rumors persist! LOLz!)

We wonder if Adam’s wife, Leighton Meester, reacted the same way. Hmm. While their chemistry looked so natural onscreen, Kristen noted filming love scenes is a lot more technical — and less spontaneous and sexy — than some may realize:

“I’m not trying to be reductive, but I think there’s a math to it. You have two actors that know how to stare dopily into each other’s eyes, and you have to have the confidence to expand that and really sit the anticipatory value before the kiss — which I think is really important. Whether or not people want to see you end up with someone is a crap shoot, and we just kind of got lightning in a bottle.”

Well, the pair definitely had us all giggling and kicking our feet on the couch each episode with their connection! Now we want at least 15 more seasons of it! Ha! Watch the interview (below):
