The drama never stops with MomTok — not even amid a production pause!
On Thursday night, DeuxMoi posted a tip to Instagram about two cast members of the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, and it had nothing to do with the upsetting situation involving Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen this time! Instead, a witness claimed they saw Jessi Draper and Chase McWhorter attend a friend’s birthday party this past weekend, during which they got caught “being cozy, and later kissing in front of a closer group of people from the party.” WHAT! Fans know that Chase is Miranda McWhorter‘s estranged husband. They are separated but not officially divorced. Jessi’s estranged husband, Jordan Ngatikaura, filed for divorce last Thursday, but they had split on March 13, at least according to the hairstylist. Chase and Jessi are both single at this time, so what is the problem? Jessi and Miranda are friends!
Not to mention, the JZ Styles owner’s longtime pal, Kate Racker — who you may remember appeared on Mormon Wives and hangs out with the group regularly — is Chase’s most recent ex-girlfriend! Whoa! Following the tip from DeuxMoi, an insider told Us Weekly that Chase and Jessi “were having fun at a party, and it’s not serious between them.” However, that doesn’t matter. Jessi just broke major girl code here — if it is all true!
We can imagine fans are hoping this report is fake! However, Miranda is confirming the jaw-dropping rumor! Later that day, she posted a picture of flowers and an apology note from Jessi to Instagram Stories that read:
“I completely understand you being upset with me. But wanted to send you a little something to let you know I’m thinking about you and I am so so sorry. – Jessi.”
Miranda then captioned the post:
“Received the prettiest flowers just minutes ago.”

Miranda also posted a video to TikTok, where she made her feelings about Jessi crystal clear! While the track Backstabber by Kesha plays in the background, the reality star is seen getting ready and applying makeup. Damn! Written over the top of the clip is:
“GRWM while I process my friend group being a waiting room for my ex-husband.”
Double damn! IYKYK! Chase has a habit of getting with Miranda’s friends! He had a fling with Layla Taylor — before her relationship with his brother. Chase also hooked up with Shinia Powell, who has a history with pal Taylor’s ex/baby daddy, Dakota. And, of course, there is TFP. Chase, Miranda, and Taylor were all part of the swinging scandal. Following a date, he also made it very clear in Season 4 that he would be in a relationship with Taylor in a heartbeat if she wanted to. Ugh. What a mess. Knowing this history, Miranda added in the caption:
“it’s not even a betrayal at this point, it’s a tradition”

ABC does need some help after the Taylor debacle! And other fans asked for Miranda to replace the queen bee of MomTok on the show! Why not give the people what they want? Unless the network plans to stay far away from the Mormon Wives now!
You know who else entered the chat? Jordan. He seemingly wrote in a since-deleted comment on Miranda’s post:
“Looks like she can’t even be faithful or loyal even in a friendship… too bad.”
Listen, Jessi screwed up here. However, Jordan is one to talk. We just learned that he was allegedly hiring escorts and regularly attending sex parties during their marriage behind Jessi’s back. So, it sounds like he can’t even remain allegedly faithful or loyal either.
FYI, Chase responded to Jordan by suggesting the DadTok influencer find a job:

Jeez!
And if Miranda’s posts weren’t confirmation enough, she also released a statement confirming the kiss! She told Entertainment Tonight:
“Unfortunately, I am familiar with this territory. I knew there had been communication between Chase and Jessi but not to what extent. Then Chase was upfront and told me that they were talking and they kissed. Jessi reached out only after she knew Chase had told me something was going on with them. And today, at the same time a rumor started spreading online that something was going on with Chase and Jessi, I received apology flowers from Jessi.”
While Miranda insists she has no “emotional attachment” to Chase, the betrayal does sting — especially from someone she considered a friend:
“What I never want to get misconstrued is that there is not any emotional attachment to Chase. He is my co-parent. Although I do feel disrespected by Chase, I feel slighted by my friend. Chase and I are no longer partners, and while I have high expectations of him as a co-parent, I also hold my friends to a high standard and believe in girl code. With everything going on and all the chaos, I am just focusing on my kids. As unfortunate as the film break is and then this betrayal I’m going to try and focus on my kids and reground myself. I am processing it and moving forward.”
