The man “all about the wordplay” is also all about hanging on the Billboard charts as long as possible!
I’m Yours, the first single off Jason Mraz‘ third studio album, We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things, could set a new record.
The single has been on the U.S. singles chart for 64 weeks now, making it one of the longest charting songs ever!!!!
This week, it’s 64th!!!, the song is at #29 on the Billboard Hot 100, and it doesn’t look like it’s going away any time soon!
By the time the year is over, I’m Yours will likely be the longest-running song in Hot 100 history!
Currently ahead of Mraz now are…
– Leann Rimes – How Do I Live (69 weeks)
and
– Jewel – Foolish Games/You Were Meant for Me (65 weeks)
Other long-running singles include….
– Carrie Underwood – Before He Cheats
– Lifehouse You and Me (62 weeks)
and
– Los Del Rio – Macarena (60 weeks)
Way to go, Jason!
