Nancy Guthrie's Friend Urges Public Not To Forget About Savannah's Mom As Investigation Interest Fizzles Out 100 Days After Disappearance

Nancy Guthrie‘s friend doesn’t want the public to lose interest in the disappearance of Savannah Guthrie‘s mother!

As you know by now, the 84-year-old vanished from her home in Arizona 100 days ago. The investigation remains open, and Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos insists police are getting closer to solving the case. However, social media users don’t really buy it! And experts say law enforcement is likely scaling back its efforts since the case is no longer in the headlines daily! Sadly, the public is moving on too — something that upsets Nancy’s close pal!

Lauren Serpa, who has known the mom for over 12 years, told Page Six on Tuesday that the investigation interest is beginning to “fizzle out,” even in their community in Tucson:

“Even in Tucson where it happened, it’s starting to fizzle out, and I don’t want that to happen. It’s been 100 days, and people are starting not to forget, but not to think about it as much.”

That is not to say the community doesn’t care, though! They do! Lauren insisted everyone there is “very supportive,” but they are moving on with their lives now:

“People are starting to move on basically. That’s what happens when it doesn’t affect their lives. So that’s why I’m trying to keep it in the forefront as much as possible.”

Lauren is just begging the public to keep Nancy on their minds:

“It’s really important that it’s in the back of their head all the time in case they do see something or they hear somebody say something, you know, out of the out of their eyesight. Then they can report it. But, you know, if they’re not thinking about it, then they wouldn’t even think about anything that somebody would say.”

She also wants people to “pay attention to their surroundings,” adding:

“Really listen to what people are saying that are standing behind you in line. Those are the kind of things that are going to make the difference in this case, I think.”

You never know! That’s for sure! Lauren is ultimately devastated for Nancy’s loved ones, who still have no answers about what happened:

“It just breaks my heart. You know, the family is going through so much. It just doesn’t make any sense. None of it does. What is so sad is that we are at 100 days. I know it shouldn’t take this long.”

Hopefully, this case gets solved soon for the sake of her heartbroken loved ones. Reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments (below).
