It’s been over a month since Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her home in the middle of the night. Investigators are tracking down every lead they can, but updates have eerily dried up as some fear this is becoming a cold case.
And while this new resurfaced footage won’t necessarily help find the 84-year-old, it offers a harrowing look at where she may have been when she was taken.

As Perezcious readers will recall, in one of her emotional Instagram videos, Savannah said her mother “was taken in the dark of night from her bed.” The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has not confirmed whether or not she was literally pulled from her bed, despite comments like this suggesting so. Either way, it’s certainly one of the last rooms she would’ve been in before she vanished, and it offers an important look into her living habits!
In a 2013 clip from the Today Show, discovered by The MegIs Suyn Kelly Show on Wednesday, Nancy called into the show from her Arizona home — at 3 a.m. her local time! — to teach the hosts how to make a bed. They joked about her raising Savannah to make her bed, something all her kids thought was a “really worthless skill.” LOLz!
A corner of her room could be clearly seen, showing off her mostly beige color scheme, a nightside table, a low bookshelf, and a flat-screen TV hung on the wall. There also appeared to be a window on the side wall, with possibly a direct view of her bed (though the shades were pulled closed).

Whoa…
Now, there’s always the possibility that Nancy’s room didn’t look like this anymore. After all, this footage is over a decade old. But given that she’s lived in her home for so long and there are typically only so many ways to arrange a bedroom, it’s likely that her room looked something like this. If anything, it offers a really intimate look into how she lived and arranged her spaces.
It makes you wonder if someone knew this footage existed… and if it was used to help plan this kidnapping?? It is valuable information for the right person. Oof.
OR, on the other hand, if the ransom notes are fake, is this how the writer was able to convince authorities to take them seriously? We know one of the notes described where Nancy kept her Apple Watch. It seemed like maybe they had information someone would only know if they’d been in the home because these kinds of details hadn’t been in the press yet. But what if they’d watched a video like this?! They could’ve made an educated guess based on this footage! We wonder if the police were aware of this segment before?? Hmm.
