Savannah Guthrie‘s strength was on full display when she visited the Today Show.
On Thursday, the journalist returned to her office at 30 Rock to greet her co-workers for the first time since her mom Nancy went missing last month. It was an incredibly emotional visit. According to a source who spoke with TMZ, Savannah thanked everyone for all their love, prayers, and support, and for “caring about my mom as much as I do.” She emphasized how much she’s leaning on her faith, sharing:
“I’m holding onto my faith. I still believe. And as my mom would say, ‘Where else would I go?'”

She added that she’s still standing and still herself, saying:
“I don’t know what version of me that will be, but it will be.”
She also shared her plans to return to work one day:
“I don’t know how to come back, but I don’t know how not to.”
We know whenever she does return it will be very challenging, but being around familiar faces and the crew, who she called family, will hopefully lift her spirits during this hard time.
According to the sources, Dylan Dreyer led a group prayer, saying in part:
“We’re here holding hands as a family in a place where we don’t understand why this is happening … It is not too bold to ask God for the biggest miracles every day.”
Savannah made sure to give each person in the studio a hug before leaving. Such a moving visit, and it clearly meant so much to all involved to get to support Savannah in person.
It must be so hard for her to even return home to New York as her mother remains missing in Arizona. No one could’ve imagined how long this mystery would last when news first dropped of the 84-year-old’s disappearance. We hope answers will be found soon.
