On Sunday, models Jourdan Dunn, Eva Herzigova, Lily Cole and Natalia Vodianova appeared at the first ever Vogue Festival for an Ask The Models Q&A in London.
Naturally when you get four models in one room, the topic of eating habits and healthy body image are sure to come up, and yesterday was no exception.
Herzigova admitted she and her friends were unfairly “just born with” their physiques while Cambridge grad Lily Cole discussed how body image varies by culture.
Vodianova finally added her two cents to the conversation with a joke:
“C’mon guys, you know it’s better to be skinny than to be fat.”
Surprisingly, the comment was received some applause while others weren’t sure how to react.
Natalia clarified she was referring to obesity and added her charity, the Naked Heart Foundation, is “fighting against obesity…children taken away from their parents because they are too fat – read Daily Mail“.
Obviously her comment is already being taken out of context, but now that U know what she actually said what do U think???
