The CEO of Netflix is supposedly sick of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry!
As Perezcious readers may know, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex negotiated a $100 million deal with Netflix back in 2020 to produce scripted and unscripted content for all ages. However, their company, Archewell Productions, hasn’t released several of their films, including an adaptation of Carley Fortune‘s novel Meet Me at the Lake. They’ve also suffered lackluster ratings with the projects they have dropped, such as With Love, Meghan, which is not returning for a third season.

Then there is Meg’s lifestyle brand, As Ever. The Suits alum teamed up with Netflix to launch the company and produce goods, but the streamer cut ties with it after only 11 months. Sources insisted Netflix only planned to help get As Ever off its feet and then let Meghan run the business independently. However, given the recent reports, it makes you wonder if the real story is that she and Harry are falling out with Netflix! And that may be the case!
One insider for the streaming service alleged to Variety on Tuesday that “the mood in the building is ‘We’re done'” when it comes to the Sussexes! Whoa! Sources claim the issues Netflix has are their “poor communication,” manners in meetings, and ratings. It’s reached the point where three insiders claim Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos is “fed up” with Meghan and Harry. According to two sources, he recently said he even won’t talk to the former actress on the phone unless an attorney is present! Uhhhh, that’s not good! What the heck did Meg do to upset him so much? That said, the sources mentioned that they are unsure if Sarandos was serious or joking.
If he is serious, that is concerning! We heard Meghan is not the easiest person to work with at times, but things must be really bad if the head honcho won’t even talk one-on-one with her anymore! And he’s not the only one having issues with Meghan and Harry! Netflix Chief Content Officer Bela Bajaria allegedly has “grown weary” of the deal made with the couple.

However, other sources are shutting down the claims! A Netflix spokesperson told Variety that the accusation that Sarandos and Bajaria lost faith in the couple is “absolutely inaccurate.” Meghan’s lawyer, Michael J. Kump, also slammed the accusations, saying:
“This is blatantly false. In fact, Meghan texts and speaks with Mr. Sarandos regularly, and has been to his home, sans lawyers.”
Netflix insiders pointed out Sarandos and his wife, Nicole Avant, hang out with Meghan and Harry, as they are neighbors in Montecito. A source further insisted to Page Six that the royal pair have a great working relationship with Sarandos. For her part, Bajaria took a moment to praise Meghan and Harry to Variety:
“Archewell has been a thoughtful and collaborative partner, and we’ve really enjoyed working with Harry and Meghan. They’re deeply engaged in the storytelling process and bring a unique, global perspective that aligns with the kinds of impactful projects our members respond to.”
