Ecstasy Can Cure Cancer

A new study has found that a modified form of ecstasy, otherwise known as MDMA, could be used to treat cancers like leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

While the drug has been known to to be effective against more than half of white blood cell cancers, the dose required to treat a tumor would kill a patient.

Now researchers believe doctors can use the drug if produced in a safe form. Lead study author John Gordon said:

“This is an exciting next step towards using a modified form of MDMA to help people suffering from blood cancer. While we would not wish to give people false hope, the results of this research hold the potential for improvement in treatments in years to come.”

It sounds like ecstasy treatments are years away, but we’re happy to hear cancer researchers are exploring every option to fight the terrible illness!
