One of our most anticipated new shows of 2016 is without a doubt the sitcom based on Nicki Minaj‘s childhood, Nicki, and the latest news out of the series has us even more excited.
Nicki herself revealed the actress who will be playing her when the comedy premieres on Freeform, and she’s an adorable ball of talent named Ariana Neal!

Ariana may only be 11 years old, but you might actually recognize her thanks to her high profile roles in Fruitvale Station and Get Hard.
Nicki handpicked everyone in the cast — which also includes Selita Ebanks, Whoopi Goldberg, Wesley Jonathan, and McCarrie McCausland so far — and we get why she chose Ariana… they look so much alike!
