Nikki Garcia Files For DIVORCE After Artem Chigvintsev Domestic Violence Arrest!

That didn’t take long! Nikki Garcia has pulled the trigger and filed to divorce husband Artem Chigvintsev after two years of marriage.

The move comes just under two weeks after Artem was arrested on charges of felony corporal injury to a spouse. Police called to the scene reportedly saw injuries to the WWE star, who wrestled as Nikki Bella as part of the Bella Twins.

Frankly this isn’t much of a shock. It has been widely reported the couple had a volatile marriage. But right away it was clear Artem had crossed the line by laying hands on Nikki — and she wasn’t going to stand for this treatment. She began to shop around for a divorce lawyer since just a day after the incident. And just after we learned she retained the services of Evan Craig Itzkowitz, they didn’t waste any time. Per a TMZ report, she went right to court and filed on Wednesday with the help of her new legal rep.

From what we hear, Nikki has been in the couple’s Napa Valley home — while the Dancing With The Stars alum has been couch-surfing. Good.

No details yet on the legal filing — or even whether the famous couple had a prenup in place. But we’re frankly glad to hear Nikki didn’t flinch from filing. This is an impossible decision but also what she absolutely had to do — for herself and her 4-year-old son Matteo.
