We hear that Russell Crowe has been taking the message of his new movie, Robin Hood, to heart – in more ways then one.
On the one hand, tales of his generosity have him painted as a changed man. He recently gave a big chunk of cash to a local charity in the UK and even bought a car for a female production staff member when her’s went up in flames.
Giving to the poor! That’s mighty fine of you, Russell.
Course, he hasn’t completely forgotten who he truly is either, as we’ve also learned that he’s been tossed out of 3 bars and pubs in the area for being, well, Russell Crowe.
Apparently, at the most recent place, a “spirited argument over licensing laws” and a bribe to be able to drink after closing time, forced the management to escorted Russell out and ask that he not return again. Being who he is, he didn’t leave quietly, as one patron explains that he broke a plate before leaving.
Because the plate really needed to be broken.
Russell’s rep denies the story, as any good rep would.
