NYC School Breaks Ground With First All Vegetarian Cafeteria!!!

Would you like a side of amazing with your meal?
Public School 244 in Flushing, NY has become the first school in the entire nation to implement an all vegetarian cafeteria, and our only question is what took so long?!?!
The chefs at the school have changed the menu from mystery meat and rubber tasting hot dogs to black beans, tofu and falafel.
So far the kids have been enjoying the heck out of it!
Here’s what a school spokesperson said:

├óΓé¼┼ôI don├óΓé¼Γäót eat fried foods. I don├óΓé¼Γäót drink soda. I try not to have sweets too often. And that├óΓé¼Γäós what we want for our students … to make sure they eat healthy both at home and school.├óΓé¼┬¥

And here’s what the principal said:

“We believe that, if we taught kids to make healthy choices, it would help them to grow as students and well-rounded children.”

Hear, hear!
This has been a long time coming, and we’re glad that one school has finally taken the initiative!
Hopefully their example will serve as a launching pad for other schools across the nation.
Kids need to eat healthier, and this is a great start!
