OJ Simpson's Bodyguard Claims He CONFESSED To Murder! And Cops Have It On Tape! BUT…

We have a shocking update on the OJ Simpson murder case! But will anything come of it??

As Perezcious readers know, the former football player was accused of killing his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman in 1994. He was acquitted a year later — though he was later found liable for their deaths in a civil case. But have police finally received evidence to prove OJ was guilty all along? According to a new search warrant obtained by TMZ on Tuesday, police in Minnesota said they got a thumb drive that was believed to have a recording of the actor confessing to the murders! Law enforcement claimed he also implicated an unknown third party! WHAT!

In the documents, cops said they seized a backpack with multiple thumb drives inside from OJ’s former bodyguard, Iroc Avelli, during an investigation into a separate case. Avelli was arrested in March 2022, and police carried out a search warrant to collect evidence, such as a green backpack containing live ammunition. But then, Bloomington PD in Minnesota revealed that two months after OJ died in April, they received a call from a detective from the Los Angeles Police Department saying Avelli and his attorney told cops that inside the backpack was a recording of the NFL legend’s confession. Whoa.

However, to those who always thought he was guilty and thought this was the smoking gun… don’t get too excited. LAPD later told TMZ the police department in Minnesota never found anything “of evidentiary value” — like a confession — on the drives:

“The City of Bloomington, Minnesota Police Department examined the drives in question and determined they contained nothing of evidentiary value.”

That said, they did not the LAPD “has never listened to, or been in possession of, these drives.” Seems like they wanted to make sure everyone was clear it wasn’t them denying there was anything. Inneresting.
