Olivia Jade Spending Less Time With Boyfriend Jackson Guthy Amid College Admissions Scandal

Olivia Jade and her boyfriend spending less time together

Olivia Jade Giannulli may have leaned on boyfriend Jackson Guthy (above, insert) when news of her parents’ alleged involvement with the college admissions bribery scheme first broke — but now, the two are reportedly spending some time apart.
A source told Us Weekly that the 19-year-old YouTuber and 23-year-old musician “haven’t been spending as much time together than they were” in the weeks following the scandal, adding that it’s “a strange transitional time” for the former USC student.
As we reported, the influencer was said to have been spending most of her time at Jackson’s house since withdrawing (or trying to withdraw) from the university — a decision she and sister Isabella Rose made to save themselves from embarrassment over their family’s alleged connection to the scheme.

At the time, it was reported Olivia was not on speaking terms with her mother Lori Loughlin and father Mossimo Giannulli — and instead of sticking by her family’s side, she was spotted out partying with her YouTube friends.
Now, as her parents approach a trial that could very well result in lengthy prison sentences for them both, Liv and her boyfriend are apparently focusing on their own lives.
But that doesn’t mean good ol’ Jackson isn’t supporting the embattled celebuspawn when he can. The insider noted that the singer-songwriter is still “trying to be there” for Olivia, with a second source adding:

“Jackson has been there for Olivia. Whether it be the occasional coffee run or just being physically near her, he’s trying to be supportive. It hasn’t always been easy, given the crazy amount of spotlight on them right now.”

We can only imagine!
Aside from her relationship woes, however, the scandal doesn’t appear to be affecting Olivia as much as some might think.

The teen starlet is said to have “really pushed past the drama,” as the first insider explained:

“It doesn’t seem to be impacting her day to day. She is still nervous for her parents.”

We’d hope so — seeing as each of her parents are facing a 40 year prison sentence for allegedly paying $500,000 to ensure that Olivia and Bella were admitted into USC. As we reported, the couple were charged with multiple counts of fraud and money laundering conspiracy and pleaded not guilty in April.
While the scandal was initially a lot for Liv to deal with, the Instagram star is now said to be focused on one thing and one thing only: her brand. An insider previously told Us:

“Olivia still wants to rebuild her business. She is positive that she will be able to. She isn’t one to give up.”

Sounds like having a boyfriend — or college education — isn’t a huge priority for her right now!
