Oh dear!
One Million Moms have their panties in SO many bunches over Ryan Murphy’s newest television enterprise, The New Normal!
The show, which stars Ellen Barkin, Justin Bartha and NeNe Leakes, focuses on the idea of ‘family’, and describes itself as:
“These days, families come in all forms – single dads, double moms, sperm donors, egg donors, one-night-stand donors… It’s 2012 and anything goes.”
Well, obviously a show that depicts a family as anything other than the ‘man marries virgin, they squeeze out kids and must stay together in marital bliss forever’ structure infuriates those fearful ladies over at One Million Moms, who released the following statement:
“NBC is using public airwaves to continue to subject families to the decay of morals and values, and the sanctity of marriage in attempting to redefine marriage. These things are harmful to our society, and this program is damaging to our culture. Millions of Americans strongly believe that marriage should be between one man and one woman. NBC’s The New Normal is attempting to desensitize America and our children.”
Ha! You moms always provide us with SUCH a chuckle-fest! Seriously, our bellies hurt from all the laughter…
We wonder, Mothers dear, what morals and values are love-filled families desecrating for America’s youth?
God forbid they teach children to be respectful, accepting, tolerant and loving! How dare Ryan Murphy impart such demonic values into our children!
Seriously though, how about you Mom’s focus on your OWN marriages and families, instead of spewing such ignorant hatred focused at anyone who doesn’t think exactly like you.
