If anyone is going to get Lance Armstrong to confess to cheating a whole hell of a lot back when he was winning Tour de Frances (Franci?), it’ll be Oprah Motherf***ing Winfrey!!
This comes on the heels of reports that he might publicly admit to doping, so what better stage for it than Oprah? The network even said the 90-minute interview would address “years of accusations of cheating”. The admission might even lead to an apparent bid to return to competing in marathons and triathlons.
Though, the best thing about marathons and triathlons, Lance, is that you can do them whenever, by yourself, without it being a big race! Nobody can tell you not to. You know, if you wanted to keep the whole elaborate doping scheme to yourself. Just sayin’. LOLz!
The interview is slated to air January 17 on Winfrey’s OWN network and live-streamed online.
We wonder if an admission will let others claim perjury, as he testified in court about never doping back in 2005. Also, what would happen to all those open cases where sponsors want their money back?
We’ll see!
