They’ve both moved on. In his case, several times. So where do Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande stand now?
Pete is busy prepping for the SNL 5oth anniversary special and took a moment to talk about his history on the show with Page Six. One big piece of that story? His surprise engagement to multiple-time musical guest Ariana Grande.
The two got engaged in a whirlwind romance that left some damage in its wake. And they broke up just as fast, along with more damage. They didn’t leave things on the best of terms. She seemed to mock him on a couple of her songs, notably thank u next and positions. And he said in an interview she’d “set the wolves” on him by making him ultra-famous and then abandoning him — seemingly blaming her for a situation he wasn’t comfortable in.

So how about now? Pete’s a new man! For real! He’s barely even recognizable as he’s nearly tattoo-free and put on a bunch of muscle weight. Surely he has a new perspective now?
The answer is yes! Pete says they’re really cordial these days — though notably not friends! He told the outlet:
“When we see each other, which is few and far between, because we’re not in the same circles, it’s all love.”
Awww! He also referenced her Oscar nomination for Wicked, saying:
“I hope she wins the Oscar, I hope she takes the gold.”
What a mature take! And he’s ready for that position with all his exes:
“I’ve had some pretty adult relationships with some pretty amazing women, and when it’s ended it’s been cool.”
He’s so effing grateful for his ex! Good for him! We love that!
