Pierce Brosnan Is Giving Everyone Hope For Lasting Hollywood Love!

Pierce Brosnan is reminding us what true love looks like.

The James Bond actor and his wife Keely Shaye Smith have been together for 22 years, and it sounds like he wouldn’t trade their love for the world! On Tuesday, the 70-year-old spoke with Fox about how their union has persisted throughout two decades — something he feels has been nothing short of a “spiritual journey.” He told the news org:

“We like each other a lot. We love each other a lot. And we’ve been down the road, and we’ve seen many, many hardships as families do, as we all do. But watching someone grow up with you and grow old with you is a very spiritual journey. To watch each other change … whatever it may be, the hair, the waist. But it’s the love in the heart.”

Omg! That is SO sweet! If that ain’t love, what is?!

He credits his bride with being “supportive” over the years with his Hollywood career, which takes him all over the world:

“She allows me to go out into the wild blue yonder and do what I do as a man, as an actor, [she] always has.”

The Mama Mia! star is also appreciative of the family he’s built with Keely, including sons Dylan, 26, and Paris, 22, amid her own career in journalism! He said:

“Keely is a journalist, a reporter. She’s an artist in her own right. And as a woman, she has made a family for our sons.”

Loves it!

The lovebirds wed in 2001, 10 years after his first wife, Cassandra Harris, tragically died from ovarian cancer. With her, he shares son Sean, 40, and adopted the children she welcomed in a previous relationship, Christopher, 51, and Charlotte — who also sadly died of ovarian cancer in 2013 at just 42 years old.
