Could this actually happen?!
According to a source close to the couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly thinking about making their home in Canada! That would be one heck of a surprise move, wouldn’t it?!

An insider spoke exclusively to Us Weekly about the possibility, saying (below):
“Meghan and Harry have considered moving to Canada, as it’s part of the Commonwealth. [Relocating] is an option. Meghan and Harry are considering it for the future.”
Whoa!
Obviously, a move back to North America wouldn’t be the worst fit for Markle, as the 38-year-old former actress lived in Toronto for years while filming Suits.
It’s likely she has very good vibes about the country, and she’d make a relatively smooth transition back to the Western Hemisphere. Also, the North American nation is part of the Commonwealth, as the insider notes, so a potential royal move wouldn’t be completely unprecedented… just very rare!!
Why Canada? And why now?
Obviously, all this Canada talk comes as a bit of a surprise with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex raising their five-month-old son Archie at Frogmore Cottage, their quant countryside estate well away from the bustling big city of London. All previous reporting has indicated the couple are both very happy with their lives there — in particular, the privacy — and the quiet, idyllic new home life has worked out well for them as doting new parents. So, why leave all that?!
Well, as we’ve been reporting, Harry hasn’t exactly been making friends with the English media of late, and high-profile lawsuits have spoiled the relationship between the tabloids and the crown, to say the least. Even living outside of London, there’s considerable media scrutiny for all involved with the royal family like this, and it’d be easy to envision the entire thing being a little claustrophobic, especially with the new baby at home.
Add to this the Prince’s reported ongoing feud with older bro Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, and perhaps you have a recipe for a quick move across the pond to Canada.
No word yet on where the Duke and Duchess would put down roots if they were to move — it’s a big country! — but regardless of eventual location, they’d need to do two things: (1) become hockey fans, and (2) hit up a Tim Horton‘s ASAP! LOLz!!!
