Prince Harry Scolds Reporter Just Hours Before Royal Fam Announces Major Lawsuit Against Tabloids

Prince Harry doesn’t have the patience to put up with this bulls**t!

The Duke of Sussex was in Malawi this week, visiting hospitals and clinics in the African nation and hoping to do some good in that part of the world — but even though he was thousands of miles away from the U.K., he still felt the heat of the tabloid media, and he was none too excited about it.

In fact, Meghan Markle‘s husband had a bit of an incident with reporters on Tuesday in the south African country, just hours before his family filed their milestone lawsuit against the tabloid media. After leaving one particular facility — the Mauwa Health Center in Blantyre, Malawi — the 35-year-old royal was pestered by Sky News royal reporter Rhiannon Mills, leading to an interesting exchange between the pair.

Per ET, here’s how it went down (below), when Mills asked Harry about his conversation with officials at the health clinic:

Mills: “That short conversation, what do you hope to achieve through it?”

Harry: “What? Ask them.”

Mills: “Is that why it’s important for you to come and talk to them?”

Harry: “Rhiannon, don’t behave like this.”

Whoa!!

Now, almost every celeb has a testy exchange with reporters now and again, but that particular one went down literally **moments** before the announcement came down that Harry and Meghan were going after tabloids in court, centering on a private handwritten letter of Meghan’s having been published in The Mail on Sunday.

As you’ll recall from our earlier reporting about this issue over the last few days, here was Harry’s official statement on the matter (below):

“As a couple, we believe in media freedom and objective, truthful reporting. We regard it as a cornerstone of democracy and in the current state of the world — on every level — we have never needed responsible media more. Unfortunately, my wife has become one of the latest victims of a British tabloid press that wages campaigns against individuals with no thought to the consequences — a ruthless campaign that has escalated over the past year, throughout her pregnancy and while raising our newborn son.”

So, in other words, they mean business!!! No wonder Harry was so ticked off at the press in Malawi on Tuesday…

By the way, even if he didn’t talk to the media about it much, the Duke was clearly keen on showing off his time in Malawi, as he did on social media (below):

A quick recap of The Duke’s visit to Malawi, where yesterday he got to see the scale of the work that goes on to protect wildlife and the natural environment, this morning visit a health centre providing community care. The Duke started the day yesterday by paying tribute to Guardsman Matthew Talbot who sadly passed away whilst conducting joint counter-poaching operations in with local park rangers. The Duke then joined a live demonstration of how the British Army, the government of Malawi, local rangers and @AfricanParksNetwork work on a day-to-day basis; conducting a live tracking scenario and the interception of poachers within the National Park. Finally, The Duke was able to unveil a plaque to welcome the Park as the latest member of the Queens Commonwealth Canopy (@queenscanopy). And this morning, The Duke visited the Mauwa Health Centre which is bring life-saving and essential care to this remote community. By making even basic medical supplies available, used and stored correctly in remote areas like this is life-saving.
