Per the statement (below), around 600 people will receive invitations for the love birds’ May 19 nuptials at St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. And those 600 guests must be pretty important, as they’ve all been invited to a lunchtime reception hosted by Queen Elizabeth II at St. George’s Hall. COLOR US JEALOUS!!
Of course, later in the evening, the twosome will have a more intimate reception (featuring 200 of their closest loved ones). This event will be given by Harry’s father, Prince Charles.

Now, for deets on the invites themselves!
According to the Palace, Harry and Meghan chose to follow royal protocol when selecting an invitation designer. Yup, Barnard & Westwood were tasked with making the beveled and gilded notes. This only makes sense, as the company has been in charge of the Windsor family’s printing and bookbinding needs since 1985.
The Palace even teased a first look at the invites, as they took to Twitter and posted:
The invitations follow many years of Royal tradition and have been made by @BarnardWestwood. They feature the Three-Feathered Badge of the Prince of Wales printed in gold ink. pic.twitter.com/cd7LBmRJxO

Look at that calligraphy! As for the printing process behind the lavish cards, Harry and Meghan’s reps added:
Lottie Small, who recently completed her apprenticeship, printed all of the invitations in a process known as die stamping, on a machine from the 1930s that she affectionately nicknamed Maude. pic.twitter.com/kWs2RFx7nN

Using American ink on English card, the invitations are printed in gold and black, then burnished to bring out the shine, and gilded around the edge. pic.twitter.com/gQpC6tDot0
