Princess Catherine‘s OOTD was no accident!
Earlier this week, Kate Middleton stepped out in a stunning olive green pantsuit designed by none other than her friend Victoria Beckham. Naturally, it was viewed as a sign of support for the Spice Girls alum as her family feud has taken center stage in the headlines. Turns out that was right on the money, per insiders!
A little background on the Beckhams’ feud… After Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz opted out of attending any of David‘s 50th birthday celebrations, sources revealed the young couple had been on the outs with the rest of the family for quite a while. Mostly, the feud seems to stem from issues with Brooklyn’s bride — which began way back around their 2022 wedding. The kind of family troubles the royals can relate to, eh?

So, when the Princess of Wales stepped out on Tuesday in that ‘fit while presenting the Queen Elizabeth II Award for British Design at an event hosted by the British Fashion Council, it seemed like subtle support, though Kensington Palace sources said at the time that the choice was made to support British designers in general. See the eye-catching look (below):
On Thursday, a friend of Kate’s told DailyMail.com clarified there was a lot more meaning behind the get-up than insiders initially let on, dishing:
“Kate wanted to show her support for Victoria Beckham. She’s aware of what Victoria and David have been going through.”
Kate knows everyone pays close attention to what she wears, so we’re not shocked this is how she chose to send a signal! It said so much without her needing to say anything at all!
Funny enough, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have also been showing their support — but they opted to stand by the ostracized young couple by hosting them for dinner. People insiders said the Sussexes didn’t invite them to the “intimate gathering,” which included other LA elite, but they hit it off and bonded over the familiar family rift.
Speaking of the royal estrangement, Kate siding with Victoria and David could also have been seen as a dig at her in-laws, too — who years ago had their own falling out with Posh and Becks.
