Princess Catherine isn’t the only royal showing her support to the Beckham family — though, naturally, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are taking the other side!
As Perezcious readers know, Brooklyn Beckham is currently feuding with his family, seemingly over issues with his wife Nicola Peltz (though other sources claim the couple is upset over Romeo Beckham‘s girlfriend, Brooklyn’s ex, Kim Turnbull). They ditched David Beckham‘s 50th birthday celebrations earlier this month, putting the estrangement in the spotlight.

Well, another famous half-British couple knows a LOT about family feuds, and they’re doing their part to be helpful!
According to The Sun on Wednesday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been “secretly supporting” the aspiring chef and actress because of their “similar family feuds” — and they even recently welcomed Brooklyn and Nicola to Montecito for dinner. One source shared:
“Brooklyn and Nicola had a wonderful time and found Harry and Meghan to be particularly kind, caring and generous.”
The Suits alum “has a lot of sympathy for” Nicola seeing as both women have been slammed as “homewreckers,” another insider noted:
“Nicola and Meghan also had a bit of a ‘deep n’ meaningful’ [chat] as obviously both women have been positioned in the media as homewreckers — the women to tear apart their husbands’ families. Meghan had a lot of sympathy for her, and said there was shared common ground. They didn’t meet in relation to recent developments and headlines, but it was an honest but very welcome coincidence.”
They added:
“Harry and Meghan were very empathetic and very kind to them both. Harry was fully aware of the situation and offered Brooklyn his unwavering support as someone who has been through similar.”
That said, a source told People that while the foursome did have dinner at Harry and Meg’s home, it was a group dinner and the Peltz Beckhams weren’t directly invited by the Archewell Foundation founders. Hmm. The source explained:
“While it was an intimate gathering, there were several additional guests, including VIPs and film executives. Brooklyn and Nicola had a wonderful time and found Harry and Meghan to be particularly kind, caring and generous.”
They also tried to downplay the supportive nature of the dinner, noting the plans were made before the 26-year-old ditched his daddy’s parties, the source went on:
“Brooklyn and Nicola were invited prior to David’s numerous global birthday galas, so the timing is pure coincidence.”
Doesn’t change much, though! Sounds like things have been tense with the Beckhams for a long time now — and Harry and Meghan knew it and were eager to help! An insider told The Sun:
“This was an unexpected invite, but one gratefully received by Brooklyn and Nicola, who both feel pretty battle-wounded.”
The dinner was just DAYS after Brooklyn skipped all the celebrations, so the feud drama was very fresh. The two couples reportedly swapped numbers, too, but it’s unclear if they have stayed in touch since the dinner.
This new friendship is especially significant considering Harry and Meg’s history with Victoria and David! The Beckhams and Sussexes used to be good friends until several years ago when Harry allegedly called David and accused Victoria of leaking stories to the press, making the former soccer star “furious.” It tore a wedge in their friendship, and they’ve never been close again. So, to see their son now getting buddy-buddy with their ex-pals has to hurt even worse!
That said, Victoria has seemingly gained the support of Kate Middleton, who stepped out in one of her suits amid this family rift. Not the royal family butting into a different family feud when they can’t even resolve their own. LOLz! Let’s hope the Beckhams estrangement doesn’t get as messy as Megxit!
