During his philosophical Twitter bombing Wednesday, Kanye West mixed in there a claim that he is the creative director of The Jetsons.
Turns out that’s a bit untrue. And by a bit, we mean totally untrue.
Producer Denise DiNovi responded to Ye’s declaration, stating that creative directors don’t even exist in movies.
HA! Imagine that.
However, she did state that she and Donald De Line did speak with Mr. West.
Ye has stated that he is a huge fan of The Jetsons and has being trying to get involved with the live action flick for years.
DiNovi talked about her conversation with the rapper:
I don’t know him; until yesterday, I’d never talked to him in my life. I don’t know what else to tell you. He’s not the creative director on the movie, but I loved his passion for The Jetsons.
He gets the whole thing about the future that never was. He sees us living on a precipice of technology — cameras in your eye, your mind as a remote control to fire lasers — and wonders how things are going to break, for good or for bad.
Still, we love you, Kanye and it would be cool to see you as an “creative director.”
If those existed.
