Rebel Wilson is saying her piece.
The Pitch Perfect star has been the subject of a LOT of heat recently. For those who haven’t been following along, she’s been embroiled in a series of legal battles for the better part of the last two years coming off her directorial debut The Deb. She accused Amanda Ghost, a producer on the film, of a slew of atrocities, including alleged “inappropriate behavior” against star Charlotte MacInnes. She further accused Ghost of “embezzling funds from the film’s budget” and claimed she attempted to bury the film. Ghost hit back with a countersuit denying all allegations and accusing Rebel of defamation, and last month, a judge tossed out several of Rebel’s claims, calling them “immaterial and abusive.”
Over the weekend, the legal disaster peaked when The Hollywood Reporter obtained audio of Rebel’s PR crisis team allegedly plotting a smear campaign against Ghost by labeling her a sex trafficker who’s been busy behind the scenes “getting hookers for [billionaire Len] Blavatnik.”
Blavatnik, by the way, owns AI Film, which funded The Deb.
CRAZY stuff. And it’s not simmering down any time soon…

On Tuesday, Rebel took to Instagram to fire off a series of Story posts further accusing The Deb producers of inappropriate conduct and Blavatnik of sweeping it all under the rug. In her first post, she wrote:
“Regarding the lawsuits and drama associated with my film THE DEB — my passion project, directing debut, a beautiful movie about a girl wanting to be pretty and realizing she’s PRETTY STRONG in character — well there’s a lot to say!”
She went on to reveal she was “going to wait to take the stand” but the “absolute bombardment” on her “via heavily paid crisis PR firms recently has taken its toll and it’s impossible to say nothing.”

In her next Story post, she accused “the people [she] complained about” of being “funded by billionaire USSR born oligarch Sir Len Blavatnik.”

She then shared a copy of an email sent from her production company Camp Sugar to Blavatnik asking him to address the producers’ alleged misconduct and either remove them from the film or to allow her to buy it outright. In another post, the Bridesmaids actress claimed she “flew to New York to his private residence to tell him face to face the struggles” people had raised flags about:
“I sincerely thought he would do something about it.”

However, her faith wavered this year when she saw Blavatnik’s name present in the Epstein files.

In an alleged 2009 email from Jeffrey Epstein to someone named Peggy Siegal — seemingly the Hollywood publicist whose openly had ties to Epstein — he asked if Blavatnik could find a friend of his a job in Russia. Epstein wanted his name left “out of it,” but said Blavatnik could be told the woman “is a friend of Ghislaine [Maxwell].”
WOW!
We didn’t see that Epstein files part coming! This scandal is really heating up!
Rebel then went on to name The Deb co-star Charlotte MacInnes, who filed a defamation lawsuit against her:
“On April 20th a trial will start in Australia where a young performer Charlotte MacInnes is suing me for defamation.”
She went on to share a photo of MacInnes at a pre-Grammys party attended by Blavatnik:
“Here she is at a Warner Music pre Grammy’s party last month that was naturally attended by Sir Len Blavatnik who owns Warner Music. Amanda Ghost paraded MacInnes around and they have now started releasing her music.”
She continued:
“To my knowledge MacInnes only has a few thousand fans so it is odd she’s the recipient of such a deal and lives a lux international lifestyle as seen on her social media.”
Damn! She’s really not holding back with her allegations!
In another slide, Rebel defended her intentions:
“Everyone who knows me, knows I’ [sic] a true Rebel. I say it how it is. There was dodgy behaviour on my movie set by UK producers and I reported it — I thought reporting it would lead to action and hopefully a better industry overall. I thought calling out the bad behaviour would make it stop.”

She added in another:
“Instead maybe I innocently hit the tip of an iceberg? Maybe there’s more to this behaviour that very powerful people want covered up — they seem VERY INVESTED in silencing me and covering this up.”

She then went on to accuse Blavatnik of bankrolling several lawsuits against her:
“Sir Len Blavatnik, it’s never too late to do the right thing and take action against the people who behaved inappropriately — maybe stop funding them for a start? Maybe stop these ridiculous lawsuits and crisis PR attacks that is costing millions.”

She then uploaded a selfie wearing a custom hat:
“Because if these hats that I proudly had made for the cast & crew of THE DEB during filming are anything to go by — I am PRETTY STRONG and when push comes to shove, I’m going to get on the stand and tell it like it is.”

In her final slide, she wrote:
“Watch now for the ‘fun’ crisis PR articles that are coming down the track to try and discredit me. This is what these people DO — I’m not scared and I won’t be silenced.”

Whew, this is a LOT to take in. And just when we thought things couldn’t get messier!
