Taylor Frankie Paul is denying one of the alarming allegations against her at this time.
As we have been reporting, the Draper City Police Department confirmed there is an ongoing domestic assault investigation following an alleged incident between her and her baby daddy/ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, last month, which shut down production on the fifth season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Authorities haven’t confirmed the details of what happened. However, disturbing allegations have been made in reports over the past few days — including that Taylor not only choked Dakota during an argument about his dating history, but she got physical with one of her kids.

According to reports, the Utah Division of Child and Family Services got involved after Dakota reported the new Bachelorette for allegedly abusing their almost 2-year-old son, Ever. OMG. Taylor is also a mom to 8-year-old daughter, Indy, and 5-year-old son, Ocean, whom she shares with ex-husband, Tate Paul. But she insisted to Entertainment Tonight during a press preview for her season of the ABC dating series in New York City on Tuesday that she “never touched” a single one of her children:
“It’s been extremely heavy and, honestly, it took everything in me to get here today. I’ve never touched my children. So, to see those headlines has been heartbreaking, and my family obviously is all affected. They all know who I am. I know who I am. For everyone in the public eye to, like, just believe it is really hard.”
We really hope she is telling the truth. Those are some very serious allegations. Taylor went on to acknowledge that the timing is “unfortunate.” That said, she is used to controversy happening at major career moments at this point, blaming “someone” (likely meaning Dakota) for sabotaging her:
“I just think [it’s] due to someone that doesn’t like to see my success or happiness, and that’s just the truth of it.”
Hmm. Dakota has denied leaking any information about the dispute to the press, FYI.
Although Taylor thinks it would be “so freeing” to tell her entire side of the story, she refuses to say anything more. For now, addressing the abuse claims about her children is enough. She said:
“I’ve just done a lot of protecting for my child and my family to really not get into that.”
Hopefully, her kids are OK during this troubling time. All of this can’t be easy right now. What are your thoughts on her latest statement, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments (below).
