After the famed journalist asked the American Crime Story star about his sexual orientation on ABC‘s 20/20, Martin infamously responded:

“I just don’t feel like [telling you].”

As seen here:

Although the 46-year-old stud called the interview “horrible,” he regrets not being forthright about his sexuality. He dished:

“I felt like she was knocking punch after punch after punch. It was really uncomfortable, to be honest. But then again, I look at it, and I’m like, ‘Why didn’t I say yes back then? Just say yes! Yes, I’m gay. Who cares?’ You know what I’m saying? She was just doing her job. Everybody was asking that question, and she needed to ask it, so it’s okay… I didn’t say yes, I didn’t say no and I just left it open for everybody to think whatever they wanted to think. But I insist, why didn’t I say yes? I believe that everybody should just say yes. It’s okay. If you are, say yes.”‘

In 2010, Martin revealed he was gay on his personal website. That same year, Walters told The Star she regretted asking Martin the “inappropriate question.”
