Roseanne Barr Calls Out #MeToo Movement Activists As 'Hoes'

Roseanne Barr Me Too Movement Podcast Quotes

Oh no, Roseanne Barr
The comedian and disgraced Roseanne star is taking a TON of heat right now after going on right-wing political pundit Candace Owens‘ new current events podcast and saying some not-so-nice things about the women behind the #MeToo movement.

The pair discussed quite a few political and social topics — including general current events and their mutual feelings about how they believe Hollywood has moved very far to the left surrounding the reaction to sexual misconduct allegations against high-profile men.
Barr — never afraid to describe an issue as she sees it, no matter how controversial it may be — didn’t hold back in blasting the movement itself as well as the women across the spectrum who have come forward to reveal their stories.
She told Owens (below):

“It’s because they’re hoes. If you don’t run out of the room and go, ‘Excuse me, you don’t do that to me,’ and leave, but you stayed around because you’re like, ‘Well, I thought maybe he was going to give me a writing job,’ well, you aren’t nothing but a hoe.”

Oh no…
Later in the conversation, the controversial actress doubled down, adding more fuel to the fire (below):

“[These women] are pretending that they didn’t go trading sexual favors for money … The women are pissed because they weren’t attracted to the guy that did it.”

So absurd — truly victim-blaming at its worst!
It was far from the only thing the star said on the podcast, too; she later criticized Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who accused Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct during his confirmation hearings last year, arguing that Ford “should be in prison.” WTF…

Now to be sure, Roseanne has never been scared of courting controversy across her long and interesting career on television and in stand-up comedy, but her behavior of late has been particularly eye-opening.
This controversial podcast notwithstanding, Barr infamously came under fire — and effectively ended her television career, by the way — when back in July 2018 she tweeted a derogatory comment about Valerie Jarrett, one of President Barack Obama‘s former advisers.
She blamed the racist tweet on the fact that she was taking the sleep drug Ambien at the time, though the drug-maker famously clapped back at her claim while calling her out for her racist views.
Quickly thereafter, the 66-year-old lost her role on her own TV show reboot for The Conners, and has since gone on a bizarre not-quite-redemption tour causing more minor controversies that have kept her name in print.
And now, on Owens’ new podcast, she’s done it again.

Reactions, Perezcious readers?! Are we all suckers for giving this kind of behavior attention, again?! What does Roseanne’s opinion matter any more, anyways??
