Rosie O’Donnell is remembering Michelle Trachtenberg.
It’s still difficult to believe that the Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum has passed away at just 39 years old. Since the news broke, fans have flooded the internet with so much love and fond memories… And Rosie is the latest to say her piece.
Shortly after Michelle’s death on Wednesday, the 62-year-old addressed the “heartbreaking” loss of her Harriet the Spy co-star in a statement to Us Weekly, expressing:
“Heartbreaking. I loved her very much.”
So, so sad.

Michelle was just 10 years old when she made her big screen acting debut alongside Rosie in the Nickelodeon movie.
The A League of Their Own actress went on to reflect on Michelle’s later years, which she claims she “struggled” through, adding:
“She struggled the last few years. I wish I could have helped.”
Oof. So tough. Last January, Michelle addressed fan claims that she looked “sick” after posting a selfie where her eyes appeared to have a yellow tint. At the time, she clapped back telling critics she’s “never had plastic surgery,” is “not 14” anymore,” and is “healthy.”
According to ABC News police sources, the Gossip Girl actress recently underwent a liver transplant and may have been experiencing complications. At this time, she is believed to have died of natural causes and no foul play is suspected.
Our hearts are broken for Michelle’s loved ones. Rest in peace.
