Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively might come to regret their SNL 50 appearance…
On Sunday night, the couple made a rare appearance at the late-night show’s anniversary special, where the Deadpool star actually made an onscreen cameo to poke fun at his wife’s ongoing legal battle with Justin Baldoni. Pretty shocking, and it’s received a ton of backlash from fans.

And while they might have enjoyed making light of the situation, it could come back to bite them in the ass — because sources think Justin is sure to use it against them in their trial!

Breaking down the potential consequences, a source told Page Six on Monday:
“It’s very plausible that Justin’s legal team will use this public outing to defend him. […] Justin is taking this lawsuit in all seriousness and isn’t making a public mockery out of it.”
BTW, this big stunt comes after Blake and Justin were warned by a judge not to continue to make their case so high profile. This is in clear violation of that! (Though this may work in Blake’s favor since the potential punishment was an earlier trial, something she wants.)
It’s not just legal ramifications that the couple will have to face, either. The insider noted:
“People in Hollywood think Blake and Ryan attending the ‘SNL’ 50th anniversary show was not a good look. […] They think they should have sat this one out.”
Oof! Brutal! Their reputations are taking hit after hit…
For now, though, the co-parents aren’t sweating it! They “have no regrets about making an appearance at the show” and “were two of the last people to leave Studio 8H,” a second insider dished:
“Blake was initially hesitant to attend the ‘SNL’ 50th anniversary show but ultimately she’s glad she attended and had a really nice time.”
The confidant continued:
“They’re glad they showed up because they have nothing to hide and no reason not to.”
It’s one thing to show up to watch the event — it’s different to make a viral joke about the serious case, especially considering in her legal papers, Blake’s team has argued her issues with Justin have caused her and her children emotional distress. But suddenly her hubby can laugh about it??
Obviously people are more complicated than just one emotion, and there’s a long tradition of gallows humor to get through tough situations. But will a jury see it that way? Will Justin’s legal team try to use this to their advantage somehow??
Thoughts?? Sound OFF (below)!
