Sorry to disappoint Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan fans! It sounds like they might not quite be back together… yet.
In case you missed it, the pair reportedly broke up in late July after less than a year of dating. An insider explained to The Sun last month that Sabrina became “fed up” with his partying ways as he “acts like an idiot when he is drunk” and decided to dump him. Oof. However, their breakup seemingly didn’t last long! The same outlet reported last week that the Sharpest Tool artist is back together with Barry! The insider said:
“Sabrina has been ridiculously busy over the last few months and it put tension on their relationship. Tempers frayed and they had a row and split. But they quickly came to their senses and realised that what they have was not worth throwing away. They are back together and really happy.”
So everything was good between them? Well, don’t get too excited! We have more insight into what is happening between Sabrina and Barry — a source saying they haven’t fully rekindled the flame yet!

On Thursday, a source for Entertainment Tonight claimed they rising stars are “not officially” a couple again. Not yet. But they are trying to get back to that place again:
“Sabrina and Barry are in contact and trying to make things work, but they’re not officially back together yet.”
If Barry and Sabrina aren’t officially a couple again, what’s with all the flirty comments about her last week? When the official Bratz Instagram account revealed two dolls inspired by the songstress’ music video for Taste starring Jenna Ortega, the Saltburn actor commented:
“Can I have one?”
And there’s more! Barry then shared on Instagram Stories that Bed Chem is his “fave” track from her new album Short N’ Sweet. Considering the song is most likely about him, it’s no wonder he likes it so much! LOLz!
The posts made it seem like Barry and Sabrina are back together! So wait… was this just him reaching out to her? Totally one-sided? Apparently so! The ET source explains the Banshees of Inisherin star just likes to “flirt” with his beloved over social media! The insider explained:
“Things aren’t always solid between them and Sabrina is trying to keep things private. Barry likes to be more public and will sometimes use social media to flirt with Sabrina and get attention in a funny and cute way.”
Well, we guess it’s up to her if it’s “a funny and cute way” and not a “reeking of desperation way.”
