Police Say Salma Hayek's Neighbor Had A Right To Shoot The Actress' Dog -- WHAT?!

Salma Hayek
This is beyond messed up.
As we reported, Salma Hayek‘s 9-year-old dog Mozart was found dead on the actress’ Washington state ranch last week after bleeding to death from a pellet gun shot. The 49-year-old took to Instagram on Saturday with the tragic news.
Now, we have learned authorities have closed the case after discovering the pup had been trespassing on Hayek’s neighbor’s property.

According to police, Salma’s neighbor admitted to shooting Mozart after being fed up with the Frida star’s dogs coming onto his property and allegedly attacking his dogs — which he says happens every time the groundskeeper took them for a walk.
Miz Hayek was in El Lay during the time of the shooting.
The neighbor says he used his pellet gun to scare away several of Salma’s dogs who were allegedly in his garage on the day in question — without the intention of killing any of them. The cops believe a pellet gun usually wouldn’t be lethal and have closed the case since the dogs were on the neighbor’s property.
Ugh!
This story is tragic. Our hearts go out to Salma and her family as they mourn the loss of their beloved pet.
