We were SHOCKED when Alyson Hannigan threw SMG under one of Sunnydale High’s school buses!
The Buffy the Vampire Slayer co-stars’ frenzied feud was the most heartbreaking thing to happen at the Hellmouth since poor Nicholas Brendon lost his eye!!
Thankfully, Sarah Michelle Gellar revealed during a press event for her Pertussis campaign that she wasn’t mad at her buddy at all!
In fact, she agrees with Willow’s astute assessment! Toward the end of the show’s run, Buffy wasn’t as brilliantly bubbly as she would have liked!
And there was a reason…
Being in nearly every scene of 144 episodes of dramatic, action-packed TV is hard friggin’ work!! Eighteen hour days for seven straight years simply tired her out!!!
Sarah revealed:
“It was really hard… I was 18 years old… and, you know, vampires come out at night so you’re working these crazy hours when everyone else is sleeping… It’s physical, I was constantly getting injured… You hit this wall of ‘Oh my God’… They turned me into a rat [for an episode, just] so I could get a break… [Buffy] was an incredibly ambitious project to do.”
Awww!! We never thought of it that way!!!
Mostly, we’re just glad these two buried the hatchet stakes, crosses, and holy water!!
They’re supposed to be besties, after all!
Besides, if they don’t work together they’ll NEVER convince Joss Whedon to finish out the franchise with one more film, LOLz!!
