Scooter Braun Seemingly Jokes Taylor Swift Drama Has 'Really Taken A Toll On' Him

scooter braun ages self with age challenge

Scooter Braun wants you to know he’s really broken up about buying Taylor Swift‘s music catalog!

While the 38-year-old has yet to directly respond to the Look What You Made Me Do singer’s claims, he’s done plenty to joke and distract on social media. On Tuesday, Braun jumped on the bandwagon of trying out the viral #AgeChallenge using FaceApp to age a photo of himself, throwing in some shade about the current drama.

However, many Instagram commenters did not take his caption so lightly:

“Cool! Hopefully you’ll kick the bucket by next month, then!”

“playing the victim again”

“God you are insufferable. You buyout an artists’ work you had no part in creating and give her barely 2 days notice and act like YOURE THE VICTIM? Even as a joke this is in poor taste. Ugh.”

“karma coming for you and making you look like this in less than 3 years….. KEHSHWJSHWHSHS”

As we reported, a source who has spoken out to Us Weekly about the ongoing controversy spilled time has healed no wounds between the two, as Braun is STILL shocked about Swift’s negative response to his Big Machine purchase, with the pair still not being able to hash things out privately.

The insider revealed (below):

“Scooter has tried to reach Taylor though multiple channels. He was really shocked at her response. Scooter won’t be commenting publicly about this… He wants to have a private, direct conversation with Taylor.”

In her open letter published on Tumblr, the songstress laid all her feelings out on the table, writing (below):

“I learned about Scooter Braun’s purchase of my masters as it was announced to the world. All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I’ve received at his hands for years … Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it.”

The source continues, contending Miz Swift may have had a chance to buy up her own music from record label head Scott Borchetta before Justin Bieber‘s manager swooped in (below):

“The potential sale of Big Machine, and Taylor’s renegotiation with Big Machine were widely reported and in that entire process. Taylor didn’t reach out once about wanting her masters.”

HOWEVER, as we previously reported, the musician’s own lawyer Donald Passman rebutted the confidant’s claim completely with a statement (below):

“Scott Borchetta never gave Taylor Swift an opportunity to purchase her masters, or the label, outright with a check in the way he is now apparently doing for others.”
