Shakira Sounds Off On Epic Rumor That She Discovered Ex Gerard Piqué’s Cheating From A Jar Of Strawberry Jam!

Shakira is spreading the TRUTH about those strawberry jam rumors!

It’s hard to believe that we’re approaching nearly two (!) years since the TQG singer and her ex-husband Gerard Piqué announced their split. The ongoing report has been that he cheated with his now girlfriend Clara Chia Marti. And unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard about the infamous jar of jam that allegedly exposed his infidelity.

Last year, Spanish TV show Socialite claimed that the Hips Don’t Lie singer found out Gerard was engaging in extra marital activities after opening her fridge and discovering that her favorite strawberry jam had been eaten while she was away — despite her ex and their sons apparently not liking the fruit preserve! But is that the truth??

In an interview with The Sunday Times published over the weekend, the issue of the missing jam was brought up. And the 47-year-old addressed it once and for all! At first, it seemed as though she didn’t even know what the reporter was referring to. But after some clarification, the Waka Waka singer simply admitted the theory is “not true.”

Womp womp! And that was that. It seemed so certain for so long! Now, it makes us wonder how she really did find out…

Elsewhere in the interview, Shakira noted how she had to put her music career “on hold” for Gerard throughout their 11-year relationship to accommodate his soccer stardom, as well as their sons Milan, 9, and Sasha, 7. But now that she’s single, she’s been gearing up to make her return with the release of her new album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran later this month. And off she goes!!
